"Montado": Sustainable Ecosystem

Montado’s ecosystem is the natural heritage of the Alentejo par excellence: visit to the Herdade do Freixo do Meio, a local 440ha estate of Montado (cork tree field), we take a guided tour through the cork oak forest to understand how this complex but sustainable ecosystem is organized, from the cork oak, to the holm oak, to the black pig, to the cork…

We’ll end our journey with a regional products tasting session from the farm, biological produced: sausages, cheese, pies, acorn pate, olives, bread, fruit, cake and wine.
